One practical AI email, every Saturday

One AI signal. One tool. One MVP idea.

Zero to MVP Weekly is a short, opinionated newsletter about AI tools, coding agents, local LLMs, and product ideas — filtered through the lens of actually building and shipping MVPs.

Not another generic AI news digest.

I don't try to summarize the AI industry. I try to answer one question: what should you pay attention to, test, or build next?

Typical AI newsletter

  • 47 links you'll never open
  • Breathless hype for every release
  • No opinion — just summaries
  • Nothing you can act on

Zero to MVP Weekly

  • Fewer items, more meaning
  • What changed, and why it matters
  • My honest take — including what I'd skip
  • One MVP idea you could build

What each issue looks like

Short enough to read with Saturday coffee. Practical enough to influence what you build next.

Weekly format

One focused email. No endless lists. No hype-first summaries. Just the AI signals I'd personally pay attention to as a builder.

1. The main AI signal of the week A short explanation of the most important update and why it matters.
2. My take What I think is useful, overhyped, risky, or worth testing.
3. Tool worth trying A model, agent, IDE feature, MCP server, or workflow that could improve how you build.
4. MVP idea of the week A concrete product idea broken down the way you'd start it: the problem, the audience, a minimal first version, and a way to validate demand.
5. Useful links A small curated list for people who want to go deeper.

Who it's for

Not for people who want a full overview of the AI industry — for people who want to know what they can use in practice.

  • Developers who want to use AI in real work, not just read about it.
  • Indie hackers looking for ideas and tools for fast experiments.
  • Technical founders building MVPs who want to know which AI capabilities they can ship.
  • Tinkerers into local LLMs, coding agents, AI IDEs, and dev automation.

I've been building software since 2006 — these days as a software architect, and after hours shipping my own small products, from a 3D space game to open-source tools for benchmarking LLMs. I test AI tools, coding agents, and local LLMs in real projects — not just in headlines. On my YouTube channel Zero to MVP (25,000+ subscribers) I show how to go from an idea to a working product with AI. Every item in this newsletter passes one question: will it help you build faster and better?

“The best AI news isn't the news itself. It's knowing what you can build because of it.” — Nick

Less reading about AI. More building with it.

One short email every Saturday — the signal worth noticing, the tool worth trying, and an idea worth your weekend.
